Gardaland - Italy's most visited park

Gardaland is the third most popular amusement park in Europe, built on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, photo Anna0691

Gardaland is not only a popular amusement park of European importance, but also the most visited tourist attraction in Italy after the Vatican Museums and the legendary Coliseum. Gardaland opened in the summer of 1975 at the initiative of a resident of the town of Peschiera del Garda in the province of Verona - businessman Livio Furini, who visited Disneyland California and was fascinated by this park.

There were few attractions in the new amusement park, however, all of them were original and exciting, and collected constant lines of people who wanted to ride. The technical complexity of the rides gradually increased, their number grew; there were spectacular objects and theatrical events.

Almost forty years have passed since the discovery of Gardaland. Today, in this vast recreation area, which occupies about 500,000 m², there are more than forty classic and high-tech attractions, playgrounds and children's pavilions, shops and restaurants.

On the territory of Gardaland, thematic zones have been created devoted to different times and achievements of mankind, existing places of the planet and fantastic countries. You can visit the East, Egypt and Hawaii; visit Burma and Atlantis, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages and Space, the Old World and the Wild West. You are expected by jousting tournaments and laser video shows, educational trips, theater performances and performances of trained animals.
