Cologne Zoo

Cologne Zoo is worth a visit. The history of the zoo began precisely with it in the 19th century. And here a herd of Indian elephants has been living here for almost 10 years.

Cologne Zoo (Kölner Zoo) It is very popular among animal lovers of all ages. It contains more than 500 species of animals from all continents and oceans. The main attraction is Elephant Park (Elefantenpark). It is so large that animals behave exactly like in the wild.

It is very exciting to watch a flock of 150 baboons on a special island. The zoo contains anthropoids, reptiles and insects. There is a large aquarium and pavilion of Southeast Asia, where high humidity is maintained, and where tropical birds fly freely. Feeding times for various animals are indicated on a plate near the entrance to make it easier for visitors to navigate.

If the sight of a tiger devouring a piece of meat aroused a feeling of hunger in you, then at the zoo you will find eateries, bars, a cafe and a restaurant where you can have a great meal. Behind the zoo, between the ticket office and the metro station, there is an excellent kiosk with pretzels, sweets and drinks.
