In terms of size, the Cologne Trade Fair (Koelnmesse) is the world's 4th fair complex. Its exhibition area is 286 thousand square meters. m. The exhibition center annually hosts approximately 80 major exhibitions, which are visited by over 2 million people. Approximately 90% of world export products were presented at local exhibitions.

In 2006, the complex was reconstructed. This greatly improved its infrastructure. All 11 pavilions of the center are equipped with modern equipment. The complex is favorably located, and this is not the last reason for the popularity of the fair.
