Italy's ski resorts are a great place for an active winter holiday. And even if you do not have the experience of “pokatushek” yet, they will surely try to make you “sick” with skiing completely and irrevocably. Bormio (Bormio)

The Bormio ski resort is located in Lombardy, in the heart of the Alps, near the Swiss border. Due to the variety and quality of ski slopes, the resort has gained well-deserved popularity among both beginners and experienced skiers. The slopes and trails pass through a picturesque forest, and the ancient city, founded by the ancient Romans more than two thousand years ago, is full of historical sights.

Bormio became a popular resort after the World Ski Championship in 1985, which served as an impetus for the development of tourism and sports infrastructure. Today it is known throughout Europe. The ski area, which is 65 km long, is serviced by 24 lifts. Therefore, there is where to "walk" and the real aces of skiing and young children, for whom there is a special "paddling pool" with its own escalator-lift.

Bormio has gained popularity among both beginners and experienced skiers.

In addition, Bormio has its own thermal complex with a Turkish bath, a mud bath, a thermal pool, a sauna, an inhalation room, where you can always improve your shaky health.

Fans of nightlife will also not feel left out, since Bormio has all the conditions for this: a cinema and all kinds of nightly drinking and entertainment facilities are at their disposal.

Courmayeur

Courmayeur is located at the foot of the highest Alpine mountain - Mont Blanc. It is here that ski lovers have the opportunity to ride on the Italian and French slopes of the Chamonix resort, due to its proximity to the car tunnel connecting France with Italy.

Courmayeur became a ski resort after the construction of the mentioned tunnel under Mont Blanc, then, in the 1960s, they began to build fashionable hotels, fashion boutiques and chic restaurants that attract wealthy audiences. In the XVIII century, the town was also a famous resort, but at that time they came here for the sake of a wonderful climate and thermal springs.

Today, the resort has all the conditions for outdoor activities. The ski area, which is about 100 km long, is serviced by 26 ski lifts; there are also snowboard and night skiing tracks. For lovers of skiing on the plain - 20 km of slopes are laid in the village of Val Ferret, located nearby.

Along with the modern buildings of hotels and entertainment centers, the Italian ski resort of Courmayeur will also be interesting to lovers of antiquity, since in its historical part old houses that have not changed their appearance since the time of Napoleon are well preserved.

Cortina d'Ampezzo

The ski resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo is considered one of the most elite and expensive in Italy.

Surrounded on all sides by the Dolomites, the town amazes with the fabulous beauty of mountain landscapes, which become especially unusual in the summer. Due to the specific chemical composition, during sunset and at dawn, the tops of the mountains glow in red, pink and purple.

Like some other resorts in Italy, Cortina d'Ampezzo gained wide popularity after the VII Winter Olympics of 1956. Financial injections made it possible to thoroughly improve the infrastructure, build modern sports facilities and ski slopes. Today, the ski area, consisting of 78 slopes with a total length of 140 km, is serviced by 52 ski lifts. And the length of the cross-country skiing track is about 73 km.

In addition, all conditions are created here for snowboarding, paragliding, bobsledding, swimming, ice skating, etc. Ladies have a wonderful SPA center, boutiques from leading Italian designers, a kindergarten and professional nannies.

Adherents of spiritual food will be able to "satisfy their hunger" by visiting the paleontological and ethnographic museums, the open-air museum, and the gallery of modern art. And party lovers can "relax" in nightclubs and discos.

Val di Fassa

The ski resort of Val di Fassa, located in the heart of the Dolomites, unites 13 villages and 1,200 km of ski slopes, with a ski area with a total length of about 200 km. Moreover, a single Dolomiti-super-ski membership will allow you to use all of their lifts.

Val di Fassa is often called the winter dream.

Everything is also taken in with entertainments here: extreme sports enthusiasts can ride on a sleigh, dog sledding or snowmobiling, as well as go climbing, paragliding, ice polo, etc. In addition, Val di Fassa has a modern sports complex with a sauna, pool, beauty salon and massage room.

Shopaholics will also not be left out: numerous boutiques and shops of world famous brands are at their service.
