5 best beaches in Genoa and the surrounding area

The magnificent Genoa, located on the coast of the Ligurian Sea, is a popular tourist center with well-developed infrastructure. The only thing the city cannot boast of is good beaches, since most of the coastline is occupied by the seaport. Within the city there are several small paid beach areas suitable for swimming and equipped with everything necessary, but the beaches located in nearby resorts are considered the most convenient and well-groomed.

Sestri Levante beaches

The town of Sestri Levante is famous for its sandy beaches located on the shores of two bays - the Tales of Skazok and the Bay of Silence. The sea near the coast is clean and shallow, which is especially important for families with small children; the swimming season lasts from mid-April to October-November.

Savona

Sandy beaches of Savona are also very popular with tourists. Despite the proximity of the port, they are distinguished by the cleanliness of the sea and the coastal coastline, which is why they were awarded the Blue European Flag.

Stretching for several kilometers, the beaches of Savona offer all possible water attractions, as well as traditional umbrellas and sunbeds. Here, vacationers of all ages feel comfortable - the entrance to the sea is gentle, and the depth begins at a certain distance from the coast.
